Biography
Antra Priede (1985) is an art historian and curator. Graduated from the Art Academy of Latvia (AAL) Art History and Theory Department, receiving a bachelor's and master's degree. Since her studies, AAL has also been her workplace – currently holding the position as vice-rector for Academic Affairs and in 2018 she founded and still leads the specialization of the Master program – Curatorial Studies. Her research activities are related to reviewing the history of exile and soviet period art, emphasising key contemporary issues, including the role of the curator in the local and international art ecosystem.
