Diana Baldon
Biography
Diana Baldon is an Italian-born, Copenhagen-based curator specialising in contemporary art
contemporary art, institutional practice, and cultural governance. She has held directorial positions at three art centres—Kunsthal Aarhus (Denmark), Malmö Konsthall, and Index – The Swedish Contemporary Art Foundation (both in Sweden)—and at the museum complex Fondazione Modena Arti Visive (Italy, renamed Fondazione AGO in 2024), where she served as its founding director. She is also a board member of the artist-run art centre Simian in Copenhagen since its founding.
Alongside her institutional roles, she has curated exhibitions with institutions and biennials including MIT List Visual Arts Center (USA), Mudam – Musée d’Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean (Luxembourg), 2nd Athens Biennale (Greece) and Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary (Austria/Spain).
Baldon has also contributed to a range of publications. She has written essays for numerous artists’ catalogues and contributed to international art magazines and journals such as Artforum, Texte zur Kunst, and Afterall.
