Biography
Sebastian Dahlqvist (b. 90) is an artist based in Stockholm. During the last two decades his work has taken the form of exhibitions, theatre plays, a publishing house, temporary as well as long-term collectives, educational experiments such as the post-master course Tusen kulturhus at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm and various self-organized institutions. During the last decade he’s been part of establishing Den kollektiva hjärnan, a national network for self organized and artist-run initiatives all over Sweden.
Since 2021 he’s been working as the Artistic and Executive Director Hägerstensåsens Medborgarhus, a cultural house and people’s house in Stockholm. During 2025 he was awarded the National Dynamo Award from Swedish Arts Grants Committee and received an award for his work on popular education from the city of Stockholm.
