CuratorLab, Konstfack, University of Arts, Crafts and Design, Stockholm

CuratorLab is a one-year international curatorial course established in 1999. It is the oldest curatorial education program in Sweden and continues to serve as a platform for challenging, researching, and presenting new curatorial practices.

The structure of CuratorLab is built around dialogical situations, fostering critical exchange and collaborative inquiry. The program emphasizes encounters with professionals in the field, offering participants insight into diverse working methods, specific contexts, and significant historical moments of experimentation within contemporary art and curatorial practice. CuratorLab is directed by Marti Manen. Previous directors of CuratorLab ar Joanna Warsza, Renée Padt, Karina Ericsson Wärm and Måns Wrange.

Konstfack is Sweden’s largest university for arts, crafts and design. Since 1844, Konstfack have educated a diverse range of professionals. Offering both artistic and scientific education/research, Konstfac currently has about 1000 students and 200 employees. The students are enrolled in bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral and teacher training programmes and in freestanding courses.
